Kleos+Klea
My first job was to explore tonality through a manifesto designed to express the brand’s philosophy.
Although this piece was never published, it became the foundation for Kleos+Klea’s key messaging.
As seen below on packaging, website and publications.
Born to nourish
With an entirely new approach to skincare
inspired by the time-tested powers of traditional,
natural ingredients, and scientific intelligence,
we created a prelude to your traditional beauty regimen.
An elemental routine to precede the routine.
To nourish, protect, prepare your skin,
and amplify the efficacy of your other beauty rituals.
A new modus operandi for a new, revived skin.
Our precious powders, oils, and waters
were written to celebrate the Earth
and the treasures it kindly entrusted us with.
In awe of nature,
we formulate differently
to preserve the essence and the quality
of our revered ingredients
and the array of nutrients they possess.
Brimming with vitamins, lipids, and minerals
to restore, balance, and revitalize,
each of them is selected purposefully,
and optimized for higher nutrition
with absolute minimal processing,
to ensure the highest purity, freshness, and potency.
In their hand,
the delicate skin biome swerves.
Reinventing itself to reflect nature’s prowesses.
Soothed, strenghtened, rejuvenated,
and finally freed from imbalances.
A powerful line, 20 years in the making.
Then came naming.
After an initial conversation with Tammy, the brand’s founder, we decided to tap into her Greek heritage to name her five products. I explored a wide array of Greek terms, searching for words that carried both meaning and elegance, and ultimately settled on Akatha, Ónisi, Prima Rosa, Ió, and Thallo.
Finally, I brought these products to life through manifestos that conveyed their story, their benefits,
and most importantly, their aura.
